Karen Mason Blair
KAREN MASON BLAIR has been photographing bands since she was in high school. She was already in the front row before the Grunge Movement exploded out of Seattle in the early 1990s, capturing, among others, Mother Love Bone, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and Pearl Jam (she was the only photographer at their first show). Her photos have appeared in Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, People, Entertainment Weekly. Her book, “The Flannel Years,” was published in 2019. Karen lives and works in Seattle.
